Besso, Treasurer Mr. James Besso Thepurpose of the St. Clement ParishAthletic program is to provide a fun, instructive and positive sportingenvironment where parish childrencan learn sportsmanship and the fundamentals of a sport(s) along with other lifeskills that are consistent with the teachings of the St. Clement Catholiccommunity. Selected committee members will be expected to:- Help developand maintain a program that promotes for as many Parish students as possible, avariety of age appropriate sporting experiences that provide a fun, self-esteembuilding environment where sport (s) fundamentals, sportsmanship and other lifeskills are taught and reinforced which are consistent with the teachings of theSt. Clement Catholic community. - Perform thenecessary oversight of all SCAC activities. - Make aconcerted effort to attend and participate in all committee meetings. - Activelyvolunteer for various board activities. - Becomeknowledgeable of and follow all appropriate Diocese, Parish and Committee rules,policies, guidelines and regulations to the best of their ability. - Maintainappropriate communication channels with other board members, various leagueconstituencies, coaches, parents and players. Thecommittee meets a minimum of two timesa year with various committee work on an as needed basis. Prior athletic participation or having a child in the program, whiledesirable, are not absolute requirements. Ratherthe board actively seeks to have a representative cross-section of all thepeople of the St. Clement Parish community. |
